Applications
Automotive Electrification
Aearo Technologies shock and vibration materials help protect display systems by providing high damping and soft cushioning in the gap spaces and gaskets under the screen. Foam materials have low and flat compression force deflection (CFD) curves, which provide energy absorption and consistent pushback, while viscoelastic damping materials dissipate unwanted noise and energy from shock and vibration.

CONFOR™ Small Cell Display Protection Foam
CONFOR™ SC delivers low shock transmissibility and can be used as a shock pad and gasket for the protection of LCD and LED screens. This polyurethane foam can be used in any HMI device requiring display protection including infotainment systems, heads-up displays (HUD), and digital dashboards.
Features and Benefits:
- Small cell, slow-recovery foam that can be easily compressed for shock protection and gasketing in tight spaces
- Highly conformable gap filler
- Low compression set
Typical Properties:
- Available in thicknesses from 0.5mm to 20mm
- Listed UL HF-1 @ 0.5mm to 3.5mm
- Halogen-free per IEC 61249-2-21

ISODAMP™ C-6000 Sensor Isolation Elastomer
ISODAMP™ C-6000 is a molded elastomer for use as a component isolator in Electric Vehicles. The high damping characteristics of C-6000 reduce vibrations that can cause expensive sensor errors and buzzes, squeaks, and rattles (BSR) throughout the cabin for a more pleasant ride.
Features and Benefits:
- Custom molded 3D designs provide optimized vibration isolation
- Thermoplastic Vulcanizate (TPV) provides enhanced high temperature performance
- High loss factor reduces BSR
Typical Properties:
- Available in 3 durometers: 40, 50, and 60 Type A
- Listed UL 94 V-0 at 6mm
- Halogen-free per IEC 61249-2-21
